Dance and Philosophy
Since May 2013 I have been leading a series of laboratory style workshops where academics and artists (from dance or other art fields) are invited into the studio and are guided on movement and awareness explorations, using functional movement and bodywork from various somatic techniques. Their embodied experiences are then shared through dialogue, writing and or drawing.Through these events I am developing a structure of guided somatic tours which can be offered to individuals who have little or no movement experience. The tours focus on functional movement and directing attention. The goal of these tours is to enable the participants to access a somatic experience which may create the possibility of opening new perspectives on their own research areas. Some cues I have been giving in various sessions can be found in my 'Research blog'.

- an experimentally dance research platform -
In 2012 I co-founded this platform with Andrea Puerta and Margarita Zafrilla. Our vision is to create a place for the meeting of movement artists and academics to collaborate, dialogue and exchange ideas and research methodologies.
